DIAPER DRIVE – BENEFITING BAY AREA CRISIS NURSERY
Did you know that 1 in 3 families in the Greater Contra Costa County area can’t afford diapers each month?
A diaper may seem like a small thing, but diapers are expensive. Donating diapers to a family means that they don’t have to stretch time between changing which reduces occurrences of skin rashes, irritations and bacterial infections.
Throughout the month of October, SRVUMC will be collecting diapers (in sizes 4*, 5* or 6*) in support of the “Bay Area Crisis Nursery – Diaper Bank.”
For the past 30 years, Bay Area Crisis Nursery (located in Concord, CA) has distributed diapers to families in need. This year, they will distribute 90,000 diapers! Together, with your loving support, we will assist the Bay Area Crisis Nursery in lifting families up and helping our littlest siblings remain happy and healthy.
Over the coming weeks, please kindly bring donations of diapers to the collection bins located in both the narthex and in the Wesley Center.
