Job Description for Music Intern
Director of Music Ministry Jeffrey Howe is excited to announce the creation of three new paid positions in SRVUMC’s music department! These new Music Ministry Interns will serve as section leaders in the Chancel Choir and Living Water band, providing their musical and spiritual gifts to both ensembles as well as the congregation. “This is a unique opportunity for emerging musicians to develop their professional skills in a busy but supportive ministry,” says Howe. “Just as important,” he continues, “it also gives them the chance to explore their personal faith journey in a community that accepts and affirms every individual’s identity; something that is sadly rare in many churches today.”
The Intern positions are open to current post-secondary students and recent college graduates who can comfortably sing in the soprano, alto, or tenor ranges, and are available for weekly rehearsals and services from September to May, with occasional opportunities during the summer months.
