Meals with Grace is our own home-grown program created to deliver meals to people both inside and outside of the church to make their COVID-19 crisis just a little bit better. We aim to serve individuals who are isolated and can benefit from a little lift, knowing we are thinking of them during their Shelter-in-Place. Our second goal is to recognize and thank the broader community’s essential and healthcare workers for their critical and direct service to others. Some recipients who have received lunches and dinners are Danville firefighters, sheriffs and EMTs, the staff at Reutlinger assisted living community, Contra Costa County Hospital, and the Monument Crisis Center. We are providing food through Safeway, and ideally by supporting the local businesses Crumbs and Bridges.
There are many ways you can contribute to this mission: 1) Make a donation to the church referencing “Meals With Grace” 2) Volunteer your time, i.e. delivering meals, writing notes, making cards (contact Patsy) 3) Give us names of people you know in the community who would benefit from a meal. (contact Patsy) 4) Provide ideas of service workers we can help (
