Katelyn has been a part of the Early Childhood Education field in various capacities for over 12 years. She began teaching preschool and then kindergarten in Arizona right after graduating with her bachelors degree from Arizona State University. After teaching for 5 years while simultaneously getting her masters in curriculum and instruction, she stepped away from the classroom when she and her husband had their first child. Her time away didn’t last long. Through a few different roles upon her return to education, Katelyn developed a passion for guiding and supporting teachers in their classrooms and has since found her way into the preschool director role for a second time. She feels so lucky to now call United Methodist Preschool her “home”. Katelyn’s time away from preschool is filled with her own three young children. She and her husband feel so lucky to be raising their children in the Danville neighborhood.
