AFTERNOON BOOK GROUP
Third Monday of the Month at 1PM (unless otherwise stated) in the church library.
The December meeting has been cancelled.
On January 8th, (note the second Monday to avoid conflicting with the MLK Jr. holiday) we start the New Year reading The Empress Of the Nile by Lynne Olson. The story of a determined Egyptologist who helped to preserve many ancient structures when the Aswan Dam was being constructed. The discussion will be led by Linda Jimerson.
On February 19th, the book is Properties of Thirst by Marianne Wiggins. Prior to WWII, Japanese internment camps are being built and water use is also being debated by Northern and Southern California. This historical fiction book gives us a new lens on history.
