AFTERNOON BOOK GROUP
Third Monday of the Month at 1PM (unless otherwise stated) in the church library.
December 16 we will discuss a slightly lighthearted book, How To Age Disgracefully by Clare Pooley. A funny and heartwarming book for any age.
Debbie Koos will lead the discussion.
On January 20, 2025, we will be discussing Perestroika in Paris by Jane Smiley. A young racehorse finds her stall unlocked and wanders to a park in Paris. It is told from the animal’s point of view. Sharon will lead the discussion.
Our February 17 read is James by Percival Everett. This is a retelling of the Huckleberry Finn story through the slave James’ eye. The leader will be Jenny Swanson.
March 17 we will read The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Marta Molnar. It is an inspiring novel based on the diaries of Vincent Van Gogh’s sister-in-law.
